Disegno Salon - Rolf Sachs studio visit, 29 May, 7pm

The German designer Rolf Sachs has been in the same London studio for over 15 years, but as he is about to pack up its contents and move to a new location, Disegno gets a unique insight into this space atop a carpark.

Famous for his experimentation with materials, Rolf Sachs work regularly sells at auctions. He has said of his designs: "It's sad to see them go, you build up a relationship with the pieces." Each of his designs are thought up and sometimes executed in the London-studio, but more often than not his work requires craftsmen with very specific skills.

This evening Rolf Sachs will be talking about his inspiration and the process of realising his ideas.
